So I’ve found that doing outside wedding pictures is easier without 3’ of snow on the ground. Thankfully, I shot this wedding a little before all the big storms we had, but it was still freezing being outside…and I wasn’t even the one in the wedding dress! Other than the temp though, the conditions were great for photos!

Busy Busy
I’ve been doing a few different things this past week…One is that I’ve finally finishing color correcting and editing the wedding who’s picture is posted below. I know, I know it’s the same wedding from last week…but all my other weddings are like in the middle of being edited so I this is the only recent one I’ve finished.
I personally liked the outside shot, mostly because the lighting conditions were so horrendous, but it actually turned out ok. I cranked up the iso to 3200, dropped the f1.4, did a little lightroom magic…and here ya go.
I’ve also been working on editing my price page on my website. Click me to see!! Prior to listing my prices on the page I had a downloadable PDF (that I never liked) and then I had a system where people contacted me if they wanted pricing (I disliked that even more). So I figured why not just actually post em actually on the page.
My blogging requirements have officially been met for this week!!!

New Wedding!
Ok so I failed at my post a week blog thing. Oops! To make up for it I’m posting a few extra pics from a recent wedding I did in early January.
The Old First Church in downtown Springfield made an amazing location to do some shots of just the bride and groom. With so many windows and such great architecture it’s tough to really go wrong.

Brrrrrr….
Taking pictures of people just gets a bit more complicated when its 30 degrees, windy, and you don’t have the luxury of a nice indoor studio. But, the family I shot this day handled it pretty well and took turns warming up when it wasn't their time in front of the camera.
This shot was taken back in early December before all the snow starting flying around.

New Year, New Bloggin!
So I’ve realized that I need to start blogging a lot more cause I hardly do any right now. Usually the culprit is my lack of anything good to post since its not like I shoot something every week (especially in the Winter). So this year….I’ve decided to try and post something each week! Something old, something new, this year or last, I’m gonna post a photo!
So here’s the first one! Taken in August of 2010 in Springfield. The wedding of Rico and Ashley.

The Knight Family
I went back to Ashley reservoir a week later cause I loved it so much the previous week and I brought along the Knight family. What do ya know….another awesome day. I think I ended up taking over 400 shots cause with 3 little people looking every way but at the camera it takes a while to get them all looking in the right spot.
Lapointe Family Portrait
I went to Ashley Reservoir a few weeks back with the Lapointe Family and we were blessed with a beautiful day! I’ve found its actually easier doing portraits in the latter portions of the year cause the sun is always so low on the horizon and its wayyy easier to work with. That is however if its not like 30 degrees which causes my trigger finger to go numb!
